Sophie's World: Geometry and Integrability

A new view on the Kowalevski top and the Kowalevski integration procedure is presented. The novelty of our approach is based on geometry of pencils of conics, a new notion of discriminantly separable polynomials and on connection with the Buchstaber-Novikov theory of multi-valued groups.
