Irreversibility, internal time operator and scattering theory


Some connections between the non-unitary similarity theory of irreversibility, the existence of internal time operators and the Lax-Phillips scattering theory are shown on the basis of the Sz.-Nagy-Foias functional calculus and the theory of invariant subspaces.
