A global operator approach to WZNW models via Lie algebras of KN type
A global operator approach to WZNW models for compact Riemann surfaces of arbitrary genus g with N marked points is given. It is based on the multi-point Krichever-Novikov algebras of global meromorphic functions, vector fields, and the global algebras of affine type. An important role is played by the higher genus Sugawara construction. The presented results are joint work with Oleg K. Sheinman.
