Integrality in the Quantization of the Sphere
In geometric quantization, the possible values of Planck's constant are restricted by an integrality condition. I prove that such a restriction is necessary for any strict deformation quantization of the symplectic 2-sphere. This requires some refinement of the definition of strict deformation quantization, which I will justify.
